The black washed horse leather gives these a slightly rugged feel that I really like. They feel dressier than casual Chelsea boots but still work for everyday outfits. The heel is comfortable enough for shorter outings, though I probably wouldn’t wear them for a full day of walking.

I like that these boots have a cleaner shape than most chunky Chelsea styles. The pointed toe makes them feel a little more refined, while the washed leather keeps them from looking too formal. They felt snug around the front at first, but not uncomfortable.

What I like most is the balance between the sleek toe and the sturdier heel. They work really well with a long coat or a simple knit dress, and the black color keeps them easy to style. The leather isn’t super soft right out of the box, so I’d expect a short break-in period.

I wanted a black ankle boot that had some shape without too much hardware or decoration. The pointed front and block heel give these enough character on their own. The leather shows natural creasing with wear, but I think that works well with the washed finish.
